ICAR- Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar organised Industry Stakeholders Interface-2024 today to provide a convergence platform for promoting Women Friendly Technologies and Agri-preneurship among farm women and industries. The Interface aimed to promote Public-Private Partnerships, showcase women-friendly technologies to clients and technology partners and gather feedback from entrepreneurs to provide research direction for positive outcomes, promoting public-private partnerships.
Dr. Mridula Devi, Director, ICAR-CIWA, emphasized upon importance of industry meetings, agri-preneurship, and government policies. Dr. Devi also highlighted the different drudgery-reducing technologies developed by ICAR-CIWA and their usefulness to the farmer community.
Shri. Sanjay Patel, Officer, FSSAI, discussed the importance of FSSAI certification and its application procedures, both offline and online, for women entrepreneurs. He also highlighted the importance of FoSTaC training, which is crucial for food product manufacturing small women entrepreneurs, and women-led FPOs.
Shri. Manas Kumar Das, Chartered Accountant, and GST expert emphasised the significance of GST registration for women entrepreneurs, highlighting its advantages such as creating a common national market, simplifying business operations, preventing corruption and tax leakages, and reducing compliances.
A successful women entrepreneur shared her entrepreneurial success story, and a panel discussion focused on issues and challenges in women's entrepreneurship and promoting Women Friendly Technologies. A WhatsApp group was also created for stakeholder interaction and knowledge sharing.
