ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur organized International Webinar on "Citrus Horizons: Genomics Tales, Germplasm Utilization, and Cultivar Chronicles" in collaboration with Indian Society of Citriculture(ISC), Nagpur today.

The webinar provided a comprehensive exploration of the evolving landscape of citrus research, with each speaker contributing valuable insights into the field. The program covered topics ranging from comparative genomic analysis and modern citrus cultivars to addressing challenges such as citrus Huanglongbing

Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Director, ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur delivered welcome address.

The subsequent sessions were led by prominent experts from USA: Dr. Fred Gmitter Jr., Dr. David A. Karp, Dr. Chandrika Ramadugu, and Dr. Georgios Vidalakis. They shared their insights on various aspects of citrus genomics, germplasm utilization, and cultivar development.

The speakers expressed keen interest in fostering collaborative research initiatives, sharing expertise, and leveraging resources to advance citrus research. Such collaboration holds the promise of mutually beneficial outcomes, contributing to the further development of citrus genomics, germplasm utilization, and cultivar chronicles in both international and Indian contexts.

The hydride mode had gathered more than 200 participants from India and other countries online.
