ICAR- Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar, organised a Kisan Mela-cum-Exhibition on Scientific Aquaculture under the SCSP project today at V. G. Auditorium, ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The Chief Guest, Dr. P. K. Sahoo, Director of ICAR-CIFA, emphasised CIFA technologies aiding farmers in income optimization. He spoke about the successful women entrepreneurs in agriculture and highlighted the branding of successful SHG groups' products.
The Guest of Honour, Shri Jagadish Panda, DDF, Puri, Govt. of Odisha, informed the participants about various schemes of government related to fisheries.
10 Exhibition stalls from various departments, were placed at the ICAR-CIFA campus.
Over 250 farmers and farm women participated in the meal.
