 Shri Bandaru Dattatreya lays foundation stone of additional KVK in Khammam Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Union Minister for State for Labour and Employment (Independent Charge), unveiled the foundation stone for establishment of additional Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in Khammam district of Telangana under the administrative control of Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University at Garimellapadu village, Kothagudem today. He expressed happiness that the Centre sanctioned the additional KVK to fulfill the aspirations of farmers in 18 mandals in this backward area of the district to make agriculture profitable.

The KVK will enable dissemination of latest location specific technologies in agriculture and allied sectors, undertake frontline demonstrations for upscaling and also contribute to skill development of rural youth.

Shri Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Member of Parliament, Khammam, Shri Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Shri T. Nageshwara Rao, State Ministers, Government of Telangana, Shri Jalagam Venkat Rao, MLA, Kothagudem, Shri Payam Venkateshwarlu, MLA, Munuguru, Shri Thati Venkateshwarlu, MLA, Aswaraopet and Smt. Gadipally Kavitha, ZP Chairperson, Khammam graced the inauguration event.

Dr V Praveen Rao, Vice Chancellor, PJTSAU, Hyderabad spoke on the occasion and expressed that rapid development of the KVK will be facilitated so as to serve the farmers of the area.

District officials and over 500 farmers participated in the event.
