Dr. S.N Jha, Deputy Director General (Agril. Engineering) ICAR presented a pictorial work at the Administrative Block of ICAR–Central Institute of Post–Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana, today. The event aimed at highlighting Punjab's Heritage & Culture, along with traditional Stoles featuring Punjab's Map, Punjabi alphabets, and personalized nameplates, to promote the mother language "Punjabi" nationwide.
Dr. Jha highlighted the work of Harpreet Sandhu, Former Additional Advocate General of Punjab, author, and nature artist, to promote Punjab's culture, heritage, and language within society, especially with the ICAR Institute, aiming to preserve cultural heritage and keep new generations connected to the community.
Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-CIPHET, emphasized the importance of preserving regional languages' cultural heritage, traditions, and values. He also shared the pictorial brochures with ICAR-CIPHET officers.
Dr. K. Narsiah, Assistant Director General, ICAR, Dr. Sandeep Mann, Principal Scientist & Head AS&EC Division, Sh. Ramesh Chand Meena, CAO, ICAR- CIPHET Ludhiana, and faculty members of ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana were also present during the programme.
A significant pious portrait depicting the Siri Sahib Monument of Historic Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib, Pakistan was presented for ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana during the programme.
