The Russian firm, Lysterra aims to enter the global bio input markets

ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode organized a technology transfer training for a team from Lysterra LLC, Moscow, Russia at institute headquarters in Kozhikode. The training comes in the wake of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Agrinnovate, Lysterra LLC and ICAR-IISR for transfer of microbial encapsulation technology. The technology entitled ‘A novel method of storing and delivering PGPR/Microbes through Biocapsules’ can resolve the inadequacies associated with traditional bio formulations like talc and liquid formulations. The technology is expected to create revolutionary global changes in the biofertilizer and biopesticide manufacturing sector.
Dr. R. Dinesh, Director, IISR said that the global licensing interest for microbial encapsulation technology underscores the technological efficiency and acceptance of the new innovation.
So far, the technology has been licensed to six firms including a client from Russia.
Dr Anand Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General (Horticultural Science), Dr. Praveen Malik, CEO, Agrinnovate, various heads of divisions, ITMU members, and other officials attended the ceremony.
The team from Lysterra LLC consisted of Ms. Anastasiia Romanovskaia, Head of Marketing, Mr. Ivan Epifantsev, Deputy Director of Production, Mr. Dmitrii Rusakov, Head of Research & Development and Mr. Oleg Ten, Head of Bio Preparations.
