The programme, which aimed to update participants on the latest developments and address operational challenges, concluded today.
Dr Pradip Dey, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Kolkata, emphasized the critical role of PFMS in ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient fund utilization in agricultural schemes. He urged the participants to adopt a proactive approach in mastering the system, as its effective implementation is key to streamlining financial operations, minimizing delays, and maximizing the impact of government initiatives at the grassroots level.
The two-day training program on the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) included hands-on sessions and key discussions on the Treasury Single Account (TSA) System and the role of the Central Nodal Agency (CNA) in implementing Central Sector Schemes, particularly Cluster Frontline Demonstration (CFLD) and Model Village (MV) for Pulses and Oilseeds.
