ICAR-NRC on Yak, Dirang organised the ICAR sponsored short course

A ten-day short course (. 20 - 29 July, 2017) sponsored by ICAR was organized by ICAR-National Research Centre on Yak, Dirang on “Upliftment of the socio-economic status and nutritional security in highlanders through scientific interventions in animal husbandry practices” was concluded on 29th July 2017.

Dr. S. M. Deb, Director, ICAR-NRCY in his presidential address talked about the huge potential of livestock, agriculture and allied sector in the North-Eastern Region and urged the participants to contribute their best for making Doubling Farmer’s income a reality.

The programme was inagurated on 20th July’2017 by Dr. S. V. Ngachan, Director, ICAR–Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya. In his inaugural address, he described the scope and prospects of the integrated farming in North East region and wished success of the short course programme.
