Webinar on “Recent Trends in Modern & Precision Horticulture Farming” organized

The ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone - II, Jodhpur, Rajasthan organized the Webinar on “Recent Trends in Modern & Precision Horticulture Farming” today.

The importance of the modern technologies and precision farming techniques in the present context of farming was highlighted by Dr. S.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Zone - II, Jodhpur, Rajasthan during his inaugural address. The need for the utilization of the technologies under the various conditions and prevailing systems was also stressed by Dr. Singh.

Marking his presence as the Guest of Honor, Dr. R.A. Kaushik, Director of Extension Education, MP University of Agriculture & Technology, Udaipur, Rajasthan regarded the protected precision horticulture as pioneer, especially, in Rajasthan as many technologies have been emerged, but still there is huge gap in the machinery availability in the Universities for the applications of tools used in the precision farming and modern farming system.

The Webinar was aimed at apprising the Krishi Vigyan Kendra’s Professionals of Rajasthan, Haryana & Delhi about the concept of the modern & precision farming technologies.

The participants from ICAR Institute and State Agricultural Universities of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir participated and deliberated during the Webinar.
