“23rd RAC Meeting” organized

26 - 27 March, 2022, Junagadh

The “23rd Meeting of the Research Advisory Committee” of the ICAR-Directorate of Groundnut Research, Junagadh, Gujarat was organized from 26th to 27th March, 2022.

Dr. A. Bandyopadhyay, Former National Coordinator, ICAR-NAIP, ICAR, New Delhi chaired the Meeting.

The RAC Members including Dr. I.U. Dhruj, Former ADR, JAU, Junagadh; Dr Sanjeev Gupta, ADG (O&P), ICAR; Dr. B.B. Singh, Former ADG (O&P), ICAR; Dr. P.B. Kirti, Former Professor, University of Hyderabad and Dr. L.M. Garnayak, Former Dean, College of Agriculture, Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, etc., deliberated during the Meeting.

Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. C.S. Praharaj, Director, ICAR-DGR, Junagadh outlined the Groundnut’s situation in the country and the research programmes being carried out in the Directorate along with the major achievements.

The RAC Members also visited the Gene Bank Facilities, Wild Arachis Species maintained in the field and all the ongoing Field Experiments being carried out during the Spring / Summer 2022.
