Over 400 mangrove saplings were planted with active participation from ICAR-CCARI staff, Forest Department officials, villagers, students, and volunteers.

Interactive sessions highlighted the vital role of mangroves in coastal protection, biodiversity support, and climate resilience, while encouraging community-based stewardship and youth engagement. As part of a long-term afforestation strategy, plans are underway to plant over 40,000 mangrove saplings across 14 hectares on Divar Island to further enhance ecosystem stability and biodiversity.

This collaborative effort represents a significant step toward building climate-resilient coastal landscapes and fostering environmental awareness among local communities.
