ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair signed Memorandum of Understanding for licensing a protocol for Dweep-Gau Maa Humpsore Rakshak (treatment protocol for control of Humpsore in Cattle) here today
Dr. E.B. Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI and Shri. Sainath Shenoy, Mahalasa Agro Products, South Andaman signed the MoU on behalf of respective Institutes.
In line with the upcoming strategies for Humpsore treatment in livestock, the teams of ICAR-CIARI scientists including Dr.P.Perumal and Dr.A.K.De have developed the protocol to treat Humpsore in cattle and buffaloes.
It has been proven to treat the Humpsore within 30 days of application with success rate of 95.37%. in addition, the milk production of cured animals also improved upto 85.07%.
