ICAR-National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms, Mau, has transferred three biofertilizer technologies BioNPK, BioGrow and BioPhos to BhuMicroGen Agrinoculants Pvt. Ltd., Telangana, for commercial production and wider dissemination among farmers. The technology transfer took place today.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between Dr Alok Kumar Srivastava, Director, ICAR-NBAIM, and Mr Akash Medicherla and Mr Nooka Rajesh, Directors, BhuMicroGen Agrinoculants Pvt. Ltd., at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi.
The occasion was attended by Dr D. K. Yadava, Deputy Director General (Crop Science), ICAR, and Dr Poonam Jasrotia, Assistant Director General (Plant Protection & Biosecurity), ICAR.
The technology transfer marks an important step towards translating scientific innovations in agricultural microbiology into commercially viable microbial solutions. The three technologies are expected to contribute to improved soil health, enhanced nutrient-use efficiency and sustainable crop production.
The collaboration is also expected to facilitate the wider availability and adoption of biofertilizer technologies among farmers, strengthening the role of microbial solutions in promoting sustainable and resource-efficient agriculture.
The initiative underscores ICAR-NBAIM’s continued efforts to accelerate the transfer of research-driven technologies from the laboratory to the field and support sustainable agricultural development.
