The intensive campaign on balanced use of fertilisers was conducted on 13 May 2026 across eight districts of Andhra Pradesh under ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone X, Hyderabad, involving 9 campaign programmes through the participating KVKs and demonstrating continued efforts towards promotion of scientific nutrient management practices. A total of 392 farmers were directly reached through awareness campaigns, while 6 training programmes benefited 234 farmers with emphasis on balanced fertiliser application, soil health management, and sustainable agricultural practices.

The campaign also facilitated stakeholder interactions involving 57 participants and included 9 expert talks delivered by KVK scientists. Digital outreach emerged as a major strength of the campaign, achieving a cumulative social media reach of 1,28,830 farmers through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other media platforms, complemented by 868 farmers covered through direct physical contact and farmer interactions. Extension activities further included demonstrations on green manuring and other nutrient management practices along with poster displays and awareness activities, thereby strengthening dissemination of scientific fertiliser use practices among the farming community across the districts.
The intensive campaign on balanced use of fertilisers was conducted on 13 May 2026 across all 72 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) under ICAR–ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad, covering Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry, and demonstrated strong convergence of extension outreach, farmer capacity building, and digital dissemination. A total of 36 awareness programmes and 2 Kisan Gosthi/Field Day programmes were organized, directly reaching 1,343 farmers, while 15 training programmes benefited 693 farmers on scientific nutrient management, balanced fertiliser application, and sustainable soil health practices.

The campaign also included stakeholder interactions involving 57 participants and expert advisory activities by KVK scientists. Digital outreach emerged as a major strength, achieving a cumulative social media reach of 2,90,383 farmers through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other media platforms, complemented by 2,367 farmers covered through direct physical contact and KVK interactions. Extension interventions included 39 demonstrations on green manuring, biofertilizers, and other nutrient management practices, along with poster displays and wall writing campaigns, thereby significantly strengthening awareness and adoption of balanced fertiliser use practices across the Zone.
