The scientists, technical and administrative staff of the Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Cuttack donated their one day salary amounting to Rs. 4, 56, 170/- ( Rupees Four lakhs fifty six thousand and one hundred seventy) to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the relief work in the areas affected by the cyclonic storm ‘Phailine’ and subsequent flood during October, 2013.

Recalling the emotional bond between the Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack and people of Odisha, Dr. T. Mohapatra, Director, CRRI, along with a team met the Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat on 16th November, 2013 and handed over the cheque.

Shri Naveen Patnaik thanked CRRI for the timely and generous donation for the cyclone and flood affected victims.
