ICAR–Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa, had the privilege of hosting Dr Udaysinh Shrikant Raorane, Chairman, Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC), during his visit to the institute today.

Dr Raorane interacted with scientists and staff, appreciating the institute’s multidisciplinary approach and its role in translating research into impactful technologies for farmers and stakeholders. He emphasized the importance of aligning scientific innovations with governance and public service delivery.
Subsequently, Dr Raorane visited various experimental units of the institute, including coconut-based Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) models, biomass recycling units, livestock units, LWVS and Jivamrut production technology units, the Nakshatra–Rashi–Navagraha Vatika, and the Agro-Ecotourism (AET) hut.

Dr Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR–CCARI, Goa, elucidated the overview of the Indian Agriculture.
The visit reinforced ICAR–CCARI’s commitment to advancing science with a strong focus on delivery, sustainability, and societal impact in coastal regions.
