Maharashtra State Grape Growers Association (महाराष्ट्र राज्य द्राक्ष बागायतदार संघ (MRDBS) organized its Annual Grape Seminar in Pune during August 24-26, 2025.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Ajitdada Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Maharashtra and Shri. Dattatraya Bharane, Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of Maharashtra.
The first technical session on ‘Grape varieties and trade facilitation’ was chaired by Prof. S.K. Singh, Deputy Director General (Horticultural Science), ICAR and co-chaired by Dr. Kaushik Banerjee, Director, ICAR-National Research Centre on Grpaes, Pune.
In his talk, Prof. Singh presented the global scenario of grape varieties from the perspectives of yield, quality and marketability.
The event brought together thousands of grape growers and featured technical seminars by leading scientists of ICAR-NRCG of various disciplines.
