ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur Signs MoU with WWF-India to Promote Sustainable Citrus Farming in Wildlife Corridors of Madhya Pradesh

16 February 2026, Nagpur

ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a consultancy project with WWF-India (World Wide Fund for Nature–India) today.

WWF-India is a leading conservation organization working to promote harmony between people and nature through nature-based solutions, policy advocacy, and community engagement across key landscapes. At present, the organization is supporting more than 11,000 small and marginal farmers in the Chhindwara and Pandhurna districts of Madhya Pradesh.

The collaboration with ICAR-CCRI aims to mainstream sustainable agricultural practices within wildlife corridors of these districts by developing Master Trainers and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) among citrus growers who depend on citrus cultivation in forest-fringe areas for their livelihoods.
