ICAR–Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre, Vasad, organised a cleanliness and awareness programme at the Rokdiya Hanuman Temple premises under Special Campaign 6.0.
Located near Vasad railway station, the temple is a prominent religious site where devotees gather for Sundarkand recitation every Tuesday and Saturday. As part of the initiative, scientists and staff of ICAR-IISWC Research Centre, Vasad, jointly undertook cleanliness activities in the temple surroundings to promote hygiene and cleanliness at public places.
Local residents who regularly participate in the temple’s Sundarkand recitations appreciated the efforts of the ICAR team under the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative and acknowledged the importance of maintaining cleanliness in community spaces.
The programme underscored the importance of collective participation in keeping public and religious places clean and fostering a sense of civic responsibility among citizens.
