The Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme was organised on 9th February 2026 at the ICAR–Indian Institute of Millets Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad as part of a national initiative to enhance capacity building and instil a service-driven mindset among government personnel.
Dr. C. Tara Satyavathi, Director, ICAR–IIMR highlighted the evolving role of government functionaries in delivering responsive, transparent, and citizen-centric services. She called upon participants to integrate professional excellence with ethical responsibility and to contribute proactively to national development through their respective domains.
Designed as an intensive capacity-building initiative, the training programme comprised four thematic modules addressing the concept and role of a Rashtriya Karmayogi, perspectives on success and professional fulfilment, creation of meaningful service moments, and the responsibilities of public servants as nation-builders. The sessions were delivered through interactive methods that encouraged reflection, group engagement, and practical learning.
The training adopted an app-based learning approach through the iGOT platform, enabling live participation, self-assessment, and knowledge evaluation. The programme concluded with a post-training assessment followed by digital certificate generation, reinforcing a culture of continuous, technology-enabled learning within the government system.
Participants gained deeper insights into public service values, strengthened professional motivation, and enhanced alignment between individual roles and organisational as well as national priorities. The programme also facilitated inter-institutional exchange of experiences and best practices.
The programme brought together participants from leading ICAR institutes and partner organisations, providing a platform for shared learning and institutional collaboration.
