Training on “Production and retting technology of Jute/Mesta/Ramie/Sunnhemp”

A 3-day National Level Training on “Production and retting technology of Jute/Mesta/Ramie/Sunnhemp including other related aspects” sponsored by National Food Security Mission (NFSM) - Commercial Crops, Department of Agriculture Cooperation & Farmers Welfare,  Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India was inaugurated at ICAR-National Institute of Research on Jute & Allied Fibre Technology, Kolkata, today.

Skill Development Programme on crafting low volume cages and farming of brackishwater fishes in cages by ICAR-CIBA

Brackishwater creeks and estuaries can be efficiently utilized by installing suitable cages for farming of fishes which is the prudent strategy for doubling fish farmers’ income and augmenting fish production. To achieve that, the art and science of crafting low volume cages suitable for brackishwaters and farming techniques of fishes need to be inculcated to the coastal fisher families and other interested farmers and entrepreneurs.

Field Epidemiology Training Programme for Veterinarian for SAARC nations

15th May 2017, Bangaluru

A nine-day training programme (15-23rd May 2017) on “Field Epidemiology Training Programme for veterinarian” for the participants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Srilanka was inagurated at ICAR - National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics, Bengaluru  today. The training programme was conducted under the aegis of SAARC Agriculture Center (SAC), Dhaka and FAO Regional Support Unit for SAARC, Kathmandu.

Field Day for tribal farmers of Chamarajanagara, Karnataka

A capacity building-cum-field day was organized under Tribal Sub Plan of AICRP-STCR in collaboration with AICRP-LTFE centre of UAS , Bengaluru for tribal farmers of Hospod, Srinivaspura and surrounding hamlets of Chamarajanagara district, Karnataka.
