ICAR-Directorate of Poultry Research, Hyderabad, organized a three-day Farmers’ Training Programme on ‘Scientific Poultry Production and Management’ from 9 to 11 September 2025.
Dr. R.N. Chatterjee, Director, ICAR-DPR, inaugurated the programme and interacted with the participants.
The programme featured a series of technical sessions covering diverse aspects of poultry production such as hatchery practices, rural poultry production, low-cost feed formulation, health management, vaccination, and biosecurity, integrated poultry farming with moringa, diversified poultry production systems and innovative approaches in poultry farming.
In addition to sessions, the programme also included hands-on training in feed mixing along with exposure visits to farms and hatcheries, enabling participants to gain practical understanding and first-hand experience of the discussed concepts.
Participants were also provided with reading materials, including leaflets, pamphlets, and a training manual, to reinforce the knowledge gained during the programme.
A total of 29 participants from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including farmers and aspiring entrepreneurs, actively took part in the programme.
