The TSP Implementation team of ICAR-Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur, conducted a visit and monitoring of activities under the TSP programme at Dugariya village of Mandla District today.

During the visit, farmers shared highly satisfactory feedback on the technologies implemented by ICAR DWR Jabalpur under the TSP programme. The use of the ready-mix post-emergence herbicide Florpyrauxifen-benzyl 2.13% + Cyhalofop-butyl 10.64% EC provided broad-spectrum and highly effective weed management across different rice cultivation systems, including direct-seeded rice (DSR), wet-DSR, and transplanted rice.

Farmers reported that, compared to the performance of their rice crop in the same field during previous season, the current crop showed healthier growth, higher tillering, and more grains per panicle. Based on their observations, they estimated a yield advantage of nearly 20% over earlier crops. The team noted that the adoption of this technology is likely to enhance rice productivity significantly in the tribal region.
