Training under Madhya Pradesh Krishi Roadmap successfully organized in Dewas District

ICAR-National Soybean Research Institute, Indore organized “Farmers Training Program on Crop Production and Protection Technologies for Soybean” and “Management of Oilseeds and Horticultural Crops” today at Burada Village (Tehsil-Khategaon, District-Dewas).

The program was organized in association with Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dewas; Department of Agriculture, District Dewas, ICAR-Indian Institute of Oilseed Research, Hyderabad and ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticulture Research, Bengaluru. On this occasion, scientists from ICAR NSRI Indore delivered lectures and interacted with farmers on concerned topics.

Farmers actively interacted with the scientists and got clarifications of their queries. About 45 demonstrations on Soybean are conducted by ICAR-NSRI along with 15 demonstrations by KVK Dewas district this Kharif season.

The program was graced by Shri Ashish Sharma, MLA (Khategaon) and was attended by 83 farmers belonging to Burada and nearby villages. On this occasion, seed of Okra (variety Arka Nikita, developed by ICAR-IIHR) was distributed to 10 farmers selected for Frontline Demonstration to be conducted in this village during Rabi season.
