The 98th Foundation Day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) was celebrated at the ICAR–Directorate of Poultry Research, Hyderabad today with enthusiastic participation from scientists, staff and students.
The celebrations commenced with tree plantation on the institute campus, followed by the live streaming of the national Foundation Day programme organized by the ICAR in New Delhi.

The live telecast was attended by Dr R. N. Chatterjee, Director, ICAR-DPR; scientists, technical, administrative and supporting staff, Research Associates, Young Professionals, students and other employees of the institute.
As part of the Foundation Day celebrations, scientists from ICAR-DPR also visited an MGMG village, where they organized a farmers' awareness programme along with an El Niño awareness campaign, sensitizing farmers to climate-related challenges and appropriate management practices.

The live observance provided an opportunity for the scientific and technical community of ICAR-DPR to acquaint themselves with ICAR's latest achievements, innovative technologies, research priorities and strategic vision. The programme reaffirmed the institute's commitment to advancing poultry research and contributing to the national goals of food and nutritional security through scientific excellence and innovation.
