129th batch of four months Certificate Course Concludes

ICAR - Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun organized the Valedictory Function of the 129th batch of four months Regular Training Certificate Course on “Soil and Water Conservation and Watershed Management” today.

The programme was graced by Dr. J. S. Samra, Senior Advisor, Renewable Energy Programme, CRRID, Chandigarh, Ex CEO, NRAA, Ex. Deputy Director General (Natural Resource Management), ICAR and former Director, ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun, as the Chief Guest.

In his address, Dr. Samra highlighted the integration of AI in contemporary technological innovations. He shared his valuable experiences of training programmes organized at the Institute and encouraged the officer trainees to apply their learnings effectively in their respective professional domains. He congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the training and offered guidance for their future endeavors.

Dr. M. Madhu, Director, ICAR-IISWC, highlighted that the officer trainees are ambassadors of the Institute and urged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the four month programme.

129th batch of four months Certificate Course Concludes

The valedictory programme was concluded with the distribution of certificates to the officer trainees. Merit certificates were also awarded to the trainees in each module like Engineering, Soils, Agronomy, Conservation Forestry and Integrated watershed management.

The four month training programme was organized during 22nd April to 21st Aug. 2025 in which 16 officer trainees from Kerala, Punjab, Meghalaya and Chhattisgarh participated.
