Shri Devendra Choudhary, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries (AHDF), Govt. of India visited ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin, today. He was accompanied by Dr. S. Karthikeyan, IAS, Director, Deptt. of Fisheries, Govt. of Kerala.
Shri Choudhary, in his address urged the scientists to bridge the gap between science and its users. He emphasized to work on the economics of technology before formulating perspective plan for technology dissemination. He also stressed on the research priorities on fish contamination and responsible fishing for the development of the sector.
Earlier Dr. Ravishankar C.N., Director, ICAR- CIFT, Cochin briefed on the salient achievements of the Institute.
