The two-days Training Programme-cum-Exposure Visit of Vermicompost producers organized by the ICAR-Mountain Livestock Research Institute, Manasbal at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir concluded today.
The programme in collaboration with the Indo-Global Social Service Society was organized from 25th to 26th June, 2019.

Prof. J.D Parrah, Chief Scientist & Head, MLRI highlighted the importance of the dairy farming and vermicomposting. Prof. Parrah applauded the sponsors’ efforts to prioritize the women empowerment by organising such programmes for the rural farm women.
During the programme, the participants were provided with the hands-on-training of scientific vermicompost production along with the exposure to the various operations of the vermi-compost production process.
Around 23 farm women from Barammula and Bandipore Districts participated in the programme.
