Brainstorming Meet on “Forage Resources in North-Western Indian Himalayas: Issues & Challenges” organized

The All India Coordinated Research Project on Forage Crops and Utilization, ICAR-Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh organized a Brainstorming Meeting on “Forage Resources in North Western Indian Himalayas: Issues & challenges” at CSK HPKV, Palampur on 23rd November, 2021

The Chief Guest, Prof. H.K. Chaudhary, Vice-Chancellor, CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh stressed on strengthening the seed production chain of forages in the region with better inter-Institutional linkages. He also emphasized on educating the farmers about the importance of balanced feeding to livestock, fodder conservation in particular of silage making and production of perennial forages.

Dr. A.K. Roy, Project Coordinator outlined the available fodder production technologies for the region.

The Senior Officials of State Government from Forest, Animal Husbandry and Agriculture; Deans, Directors and Senior Faculty Members of CSK HPKV also participated in the Meeting.
