The Navsari Gujarat Research Centre of ICAR-Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture signed the two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the Pre-Vibrant Gujarat Summit - 2021 organized by the Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat at the Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat from 14th to 16th December, 2021.
The NGRC of ICAR-CIBA signed the 1st MoU with the Department of Fisheries, Government of Gujarat to obtain 10 ha Fish Farmland at Matwad Village, Navsari for research and demonstration of the Brackishwater Aquaculture.
Shri Satish Patel, I.A.S., Commissioner of Fisheries, Department of Fisheries, Government of Gujarat and Dr. K.P. Jithendran, Director, ICAR-CIBA, signed the MoU on the behalf of their respective organizations.
The Centre also signed another MoU with the Gujarat Fish Farmers’ Producers’ Co-Operative Society, Ltd. to provide the technical support and critical inputs in the Brackishwater Farming demonstrations in Gujarat to boost the fish production and livelihood.
The MoU was signed between Dr. Jithendran, Director, ICAR-CIBA and Shri Jayantilal P. Kewat, President, Gujarat Fish Farmers’ Producers’ Co-Operative Society Ltd. on the behalf of their respective organizations.
The Senior Officials of both the organizations were present during the occasion.
