The National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture, Seed Hub and Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia of Zone V organized the Review Meeting at Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malda from 21st to 22nd December - 2018.
Dr. S.S. Singh, Director, ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Kolkata highlighted the purpose of Seed hub, CSISA and NICRA and briefed about different components and interventions. He also urged for the replication of successful and scalable technologies of NICRA project in the nearby areas.
Dr. S. Rajan, Director, ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow underlined the progress of Seed Hub and gave committed to complete the seed storage go-down and install seed processing unit by end of financial year.
Dr. F.H. Rahman, NICRA Nodal Officer presented the highlights of the salient achievements carried out by the NICRA-KVKs of the zone V with fund utilisation status.
Participants of 19 KVKs from Odisha and West Bengal attended in the programme.
During the technical session, all the PIs of KVKs presented salient achievements of out-scaled technologies during this year and proposed the next plan of work.
A field visit to NICRA village Narayanpur of district Malda was also organized during the programme. During this, the participants interacted with the VCRMC members regarding out-scaling of various climate resilient technologies.
