Dr. Rajbir Singh, Director, ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Ludhiana, Punjab visited the Farmers’ FIRST Project sites at Raipur Block of Dehradun for reviewing the progress of the project at the farm level today.
During the visit, Dr. Singh was apprised about the different interventions like compost unit, nutritional kitchen garden, crop and horticulture based interventions and water harvesting structures. While interacting with the Project staff and farmers, he emphasized on introducing need based mechanization in the villages of Farmers’ FIRST Project. Dr. Singh also stressed on providing low-cost technology to the farmers.
The senior officials of ICAR-ATARI, Ludhiana, Punjab were also present during the occasion.
