Jharnapani, 12th April, 2011
Honourable Member of Parliament, Nagaland, Sri Khekiho Zhimomi visited the NRC on Mithun, Jharnapani, Nagaland on 12th April, 2011. Sri Zhimomi, in his brief speech, gave emphasis to work on habitat restoration and carrying capacity of Mithun in order to augment the productivity as well as to establish the linkage with the state departments. Later, he visited the different laboratories of the institute and interacted with the scientists. He also appreciated the research and extension activities as encouraging one, and in positive direction.
While welcoming the honourable member, Director NRC on Mithun briefed him about the achievement of the research and extension activities of the institute in general and with special reference to the technology injection programme successfully implemented in the farmers’ field.
