Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Agriculture Food Processing Visits CIAE

CIAE_Minister_Visit_19-01-2012Dr. Charan Das Mahant, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Food Processing visited CIAE on January 16, 2012. Dr. Pitam Chandra, Director CIAE  welcomed the  Hon’ble Minister. A brief presentation on recent technological developments like safety attachment with coconut climber, platform type  fruit harvester and electricity generation from biomass was made by Dr. Chandra. Hon’ble Minister interacted with the scientists and took interest in live demonstrations of new technologies namely variable rate seed drill and sowing/ planting device for mustard developed by the CIAE. Dr A Subba Rao, Director, IISS and Dr DD Kulkarni, Joint Director, HSADL were also present during the visit of Minister.

 

CIAE QRT visits Farmer’s field

CIAE_QRT_Visit-19-01-2012CIAE QRT visited the Institute on January 9-10, 2011. The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Dr VK Sharma, Principal, Bhutta College of Engineering & Technology. Other Members present in the meeting include Dr VK Tewari, Professor, IIT Kharagpur; Dr SK Gupta, PC from CSSRI, karnal; Dr AK Tripathi, Director, MNRES, New Delhi; Mr K Rajeshwar from Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, Mumbai; and Dr Sandip Kaur, Professor, PAU Ludhiana. During the visit, QRT interacted with scientists, technical officers, administrative staff, agricultural machinery manufacturers and farmers. A visit was also arranged to CIAE adopted villages for technology transfer.

 

 

Forest Minister, Government of MP visits Power Plant established by CIAE

Sardar Sartaj Singh, Forest Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh visited the biomass based decentralized power generation  plant established by CIAE Bhopal at village Mana, district Raisen of Madhya Pradesh on January 15, 2012. The minister appreciated the efforts of CIAE Bhopal for establishing the crop residue based electricity generation system. The capacity of the power plant is 100 kW.
