Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand state Smt. Draupadi Murmu visited KVK Gumla farm, Salam Nawatoli on 23.07.2015. In her address she stressed on the need to develop low cost agricultural technologies and marketing avenues for the small and marginal land holders. She also highlighted the need to educate farmers in achieving sustainability both in farming and profit making.
The day was also observed as ‘Nari Shakti Diwas’ where more than 5000 farm women and SHG members participated. More than 5000 number of mango saplings were distrubuted among farmers on that day.
Dr. Dinesh Oraon, Speaker of Jharkhand Bidhan Sabha, Padamshree Ashok Bhagat, Secretary, Vikash Bharti, Programme Coordinator of KVK Gumla and all other staff of the organization participated in the event.
