ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Jodhpur, Rajasthan organized a review meeting of Scheduled Tribe Component (STC) and Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) on 28 October 2022, at its premise. In the inaugural session, Dr SK Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Jodhpur emphasized upon direct establishment to improve livelihood security of Tribal farmers. He also highlighted substantial reduction of poverty and unemployment, creation of productive assets, Human Resource Development, Provision of Physical and financial security against all types of exploitation and oppression. He urged to all the participants to work in convergence mode for holistic approach addressing overall needs of Tribal and Scheduled Caste farmers.

Dr Ishwar Singh, Director of Extension Education, Agricultural University, Jodhpur briefed that balanced growth and economic development is the ultimate aim of the programme and strategic plans are designed accordingly. He told that all scientific staff of KVK must devote time for Integrated Socio-Economic Development of Tribal and Scheduled Caste farming community in their respective district. KVK wise workplan for 2022-23 presentation was given. Total 24 Krishi Vigyan Kendras under Scheduled Tribal Components from Rajasthan and 14 Krishi Vigyan Kendras under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan took part from Rajasthan and Haryana.
