The Swachhta Hi Seva 2025 celebration at ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata began with the display of banners at the two main gates of the institute, aimed at creating public awareness about the Swachh Bharat Mission.
On this special occasion of Swachhatsav 2025, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, emphasized the importance of cleanliness, the removal of garbage, and the weeding out of old and unserviceable items from the institute campus. He also appreciated the sincere efforts and dedication of the Safai Mitras and Utility & Service Section for maintaining cleanliness across the office premises.
The Swachhta Pledge was administered by Dr. Shakyawar, in virtual mode.
Following the pledge, all staff members enthusiastically participated in the green plantation drive titled ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, conducted inside the campus. Saplings were planted by Heads of Divisions (HODs), senior officials, and women staff members, contributing to the institute’s green and clean environment initiative.
