The ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana in collaboration with the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana organized the Training Programme on Diversification through Value-Addition in Milk Products and Livestock Health Management for SC Community” under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan Programme from 12th to 13th August, 2021.

Training Programme on “NUTRISMART FISH to boost the Nutritional Security of the Rural Women” organized

Dr. P. Chandra Sekhara, Director General, MANAGE, Hyderabad inaugurated a Collaborative Virtual Training Programme on “NUTRISMART FISH to boost the Nutritional Security of the Rural Women” jointly organized by the ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore, Kolkata and MANAGE, Hyderabad from 10th to 12th August, 2021. In his address, Dr. Sekhara stated about the nutritional security and the importance of extension activities to achieve it.

Workshop on “Mission towards Zero Non-Descript AnGR of India” organized

The ICAR-National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources, Karnal, Haryana organized a National Workshop on “Mission towards Zero Non-Descript AnGR of India” today.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) emphasized on the significance of characterization and registration of the non-descript population of the country. The Director General urged for giving emphasis on conservation and improvement of a new population along with its registration.

ICAR-IISR, Indore collaborates in High Performance Computing (HPC) Workshop

14 - 16 July, 2021

A Virtual Workshop on “High Performance Computing (HPC) in the Agriculture Domain” was hosted by the IIT, Indore; ICAR-Indian Institute of Soybean Research, Indore, Madhya Pradesh and Mahindra University, Hyderabad in collaboration with the C-DAC, Pune, Maharashtra; IISC, Bengaluru and IIT, Kharagpur, West Bengal from 14th July, 2021 to 16th July, 2021. The Workshop was organized under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) from the Supercomputer Education and Research Centre (SERC).

The ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata organized a Workshop on “Importance of Handloom in Our Society and Economy-cum-Exhibition of Handloom Products” at Kolkata on the occasion of National Handloom Day today.

In his address, the Chief Guest, Dr. S.A. Wani, Director (Research), Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, Jammu & Kashmir emphasized on the importance of hand spinning and handloom weaving of Pashmina Shawls.
