The ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana organized a Programme on “Balanced use of fertilizers in crops” today.

In his address, Dr. P.C. Sharma, Director, ICAR-CSSRI, Karnal highlighted the importance of soil testing, Soil Health Card, balanced use of fertilizers in crops and cost & productivity management.

Tagging-cum-Awareness Programme on High Altitude Fish Species in River Tons for operational functionalities of Fish Pass towards conservation organized

The Dams / Barrages are one of the major threats along with the pollution and climate change to the River ecology and fisheries. The River Tons is a major tributary of the Yamuna River in the Ganga basin and home for both the indigenous and exotic fish species. The Himalayan Rivers are mostly preferred for the hydropower projects due to the geomorphologic advantages. The Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL) has proposed a 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Electric Project on River Tons.

The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized a Virtual Workshop on “Science Communication for I.F.S. Probationers belonging to 2019-21 and 2020-22 Batches from Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun, Uttarakhand” today.

The Virtual Workshop was organized as a part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the ICAR-NAARM and IGNFA.
