A one-day training programme on “Content Management System” for website development and updation was organised today at the ICAR–Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Jodhpur, with the objective of strengthening the digital outreach and online presence of Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
Addressing the participants, Dr. P. P. Rohilla, Principal Scientist (LPM) and Director (In-charge), ICAR–ATARI, Jodhpur, emphasized that the KVK website serves as the digital face of the institution and the ICAR system. He underlined the critical role of accurate, relevant, and regularly updated website content in effective technology dissemination, especially in the present digital era.

Principal Scientist (Agricultural Extension), highlighted the significance of the training programme and stressed the need for regular and timely updation of KVK websites, following a proper linking policy. He further emphasized linking KVK websites with those of ICAR institutes, host organizations, and other stakeholders, enabling farmers and stakeholders to access information on technologies, schemes, and advisory services seamlessly.
A total of 48 KVKs from Rajasthan and Haryana participated in the training programme. Experts from M/s OmegaTelesolutions, Nagpur, provided hands-on training on server login procedures, content development, and website updation, equipping participants with practical skills to effectively manage and maintain their institutional websites.
The programme contributed towards enhancing the digital capacity of KVK personnel and strengthening ICT-based extension services for improved outreach and farmer-centric information delivery.
