Awareness Programme on Sustainable Agricultural Practices Organised by ICAR-CCARI, Goa

An awareness programme was organised in Keri village, Ponda, to promote sustainable farming practices under Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav (MGMG) today. The awareness programme focused on the use of natural farming formulations and balanced application of fertilizers to improve soil health.

The awareness programme focused on the use of natural farming formulations and balanced application of fertilizers to improve soil health. As part of the training, the preparation of natural formulations such as Jeevamrut and Ghanajeevamrut was practically demonstrated to the attendees. Using these, farmers can significantly improve soil fertility and health while lowering production costs. This approach encourages self-reliance and promotes a sustainable, balanced system that reduces dependency on chemical fertilizers. The event was attended by 20 farmers.
