ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad launched the two-month online Certificate Course on Educational Technology (CCET-2026) today with the participation of 572 learners from 26 States.
Delivering the presidential address, Dr Raman Meenakshi Sundaram, Director, ICAR-NAARM, described educational technology as a transformative force in modern education. He emphasised that teachers should evolve into facilitators and learning designers capable of creating flexible, interactive, and learner-centred learning experiences. Encouraging participants to embrace innovative digital pedagogies and emerging technologies, he urged them to view the programme not merely as a certification course but as a transformational journey towards improving teaching and learning.
Welcoming the participants, Dr V.V. Sumanth Kumar, Programme Director and Head (Acting), Education Systems Management Division, highlighted ICAR-NAARM's leadership in online capacity building and noted that the Academy's MOOC courses, have received an overwhelming response. He stated that CCET was developed to strengthen the digital teaching competencies of educators.
In his address, Dr Gopal Lal, Joint Director, underscored the importance of technology-enabled education in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and strengthening higher agricultural education.
