16 March 2026, Dehradun
ICAR–Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (ICAR–IISWC), Dehradun, commenced a six-day training programme on “Water Conservation & Management for Climate-Smart Agriculture” from 16 March 2026. The programme is being conducted for officers sponsored by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, Odisha, with the objective of strengthening their technical knowledge and practical skills in climate-resilient soil and water management.
The training programme includes a comprehensive blend of classroom lectures, hands-on practical sessions, and exposure visits to field project sites developed by the Institute. These components are designed to provide participants with real-time insights and practical understanding of soil and water conservation interventions under field conditions.
A total of 20 officers are participating in the programme.
