National Campaign on “Efficient and Balanced Use of Fertilizer (including Nano-fertilizers)” organized

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh organized the National Campaign on “Efficient and Balanced Use of Fertilizer (including Nano-fertilizers)” today.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (Natural Resource Management), ICAR the urged the farmers for applying the fertilizers and manures in a balanced manner to get the maximum benefits and keep the environment clean.

Dr. A.K. Patra, Director, ICAR-IISS, Bhopal emphasized on the use of balanced fertilizer for sustaining the soil health and crop productivity.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Director, ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Guwahati, Assam apprised the farmers about use of balanced fertilizers and increasing the interest of the farmers towards Nano-urea.

Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries and the participants, Dr. A.K. Biswas, Head of Department (SCF) & Organizing Secretary briefed about the main objective of the National Campaign.

The Campaign registered participation by about 3,500 participants including farmers, students and other stakeholders.
