Released 531 improved varieties in 10 years — including 20 biofortified and 27 climate-smart varieties suited for diverse regions.
Germplasm Registration:
52 trait-specific germplasm lines and 15 varieties (including farmer-bred types) registered with NBPGR and PPV&FRA.
Technology Generation:
Developed 1,124 production, protection, and processing technologies — 107 commercialized; 35 patents granted; 31 under evaluation.
Quality Planting Material:
Produced and distributed 852 lakh quality plants, 7,072 quintals of breeder seeds, 30,583 tonnes of tuber crop seed, and 2,100 quintals of mushroom spawn.
Capacity Building:
Conducted 2,025 trainings and 608 demonstrations on improved technologies, value addition, and processing for diverse stakeholders.
Impact:
Enhanced farmers’ productivity, profitability, and market access through improved technologies and value-chain linkages.
