  • Develop and release improved varieties of fruits, vegetables, plantation crops, tubers, flowers, spices, medicinal, and aromatic plants.

  • Serve as a national repository for horticultural knowledge and genetic resources.

  • Promote technology-led horticultural development and commercialization.

  • Facilitate capacity building, extension services, and entrepreneurship in horticulture and food processing.
