Zonal Monitoring Committee of NICRA-TDC for Zone V visited KVKs of  Malda and Coochbehar West Bengal State  from 28- to 29, August 2018.

During the visit to KVKs, the Committee Members suggested to scale-up the climate resilient technologies for the benefit of farming community. 

ICAR ATARI, Zone-1, Ludhiana organised one day training program for master trainers on "KVK Sandesh" Mobile App under ICAR-TCS Digital Farming Initiative in Agriculture (DFIA) on 10 August 2018 at Ludhiana.

Three training courses on “In-situ paddy residue management through machinery” have been successfully organized by ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ICAR-ATARI), Ludhiana in collaboration with Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering (FMPE), PAU, Ludhiana.

13th August 2018, Amreli, Gujarat

Shri Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare reviewed the KVK, Amreli, Gujarat today. During his interaction with farmers, he urged that farmers should get advisory from KVK about integrated farming system, proper use of bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides, latest varieties of different crops, etc. Shri Rupala said application of site and crop specific of fertilisers needs to be promoted. He emphasised on convergence of KVK with ATMA and other agencies for increasing farmers’ income.

One-day Sensitization Workshop on “Promotion of Agricultural Mechanization for in-situ Management of Crop Residue” for KVKs and farmers of Haryana & Delhi has been organized today at CCSHAU, Hisar by ICAR-ATARI, Zone-II, Jodhpur.

A farmers’ Conference on Organic Farming for enhancing field crops production and doubling of farmers income was organised at ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow on 6th August 2018. The conference was jointly organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow and Dy Director, Agriculture, Lucknow on 6th August 2018.
