Model Village System of Extension through Convergence Mode Initiated

ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya organized a 3 days training programme on “Scientific Piggery and Poultry Rearing to Enhance the Livelihood and Nutritional Security of Tribal Farmers” from 7-9th October, 2015 in Nongthymmai village of Ri-Bhoi district with the convergence of Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) and National Innovation on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA).

Workshop on “Fruit cracking and soil health management” organized

​The ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur organized one day’s workshop on “Fruit Cracking and Soil Health Management” on October 3, 2015. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. N. K. Krishna Kumar, Deputy Director General  (Horticultural Science), ICAR. Dr. Kumar also formally inaugurated the recently established pomegranate processing unit at ICAR-NRCP Solapur.

Training Programme for all India service officers on PMKSY at Umiam

A five-day capacity building programme on “Preparation of District Irrigation Plan (DIP) under Prime Minister Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMHSY)”  for All India  Service Officers ((IAS & IFS) of North East India has been organized  at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam from 5-9 October, 2015 with an objective to enhance the technical capability of the Officers to enable them to implement PMKSY in their district effectively so that the slogan Harkhet ko pani may be transferred into reality.

ICAR-CIFA organizes workshop-cum-training for tribals at Dahod, Gujarat

An Interactive workshop-cum-training programme on "Scientific aquaculture by tribal fish farmers of Gujarat" was organized by Anand Regional Research Centre of ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubneshwar at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (AAU), Muvaliya Farm, Dahod on 26 October, 2015 as a part of Tribal Sub-Plan Programme of ICAR-CIFA.
