Capacity Building Training-cum-Exposure Visit Programme on ‘Soil & Water Conservation Techniques’ Organized

ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (IISWC), Dehradun organized a six-day Training-cum-Exposure Visit Programme on ‘Soil & Water Conservation Techniques’ during 27 May, 2015 to 1st June, 2015 in which 24 Agriculture Engineers posted in different districts in Tamil Nadu State participated.

Workshop of AICRP on Management of Salt Affected Soil and Use of Saline Water in Agriculture

The 24th Biennial workshop of AICRP on Management of Salt Affected Soil and Use of Saline Water in Agriculture was organized by ICAR-CSSRI, Karnal in association with AICRP Center, Agra during June 5-7, 2015. ICAR-CIRG, Makhdoom. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. A.K. Sikka, Dy. Director General (NRM),  ICAR. In his inaugural address, Dr. Sikka highlighted that secondary salinisation and resodification especially in the irrigation commands, over exploitation of ground water, soil degradation from other processes coupled with climate change are emerging as major issues of concern. Skill Development Programme for Agriculture Engineers

ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (IISWC), Dehradun organized a six day (04th  to 09th June, 2015) Training cum Exposure visit Programme on ‘Soil & Water Conservation Techniques’ during, in which 25 Agriculture Engineers from in 14 districts of Tamil Nadu participated. The training programme was sponsored by Chief Engineer, Agriculture Engineering Department, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Field Day-cum-Training Programme for Saligas tribe

To popularize the importance of soil test based balanced fertilizer application with “Soil Test with Crop Response” approach for wheat crop among the tribal farmers, a capacity building cum field day was organized on June 16, 2015 under Tribal Sub Plan of AICRP- Soil Test with Crop Response. The programme was organized in collaboration with AICRP on Long Term Fertilizer Experiments at Purani Pod, BR Hills (Chamarajanagara district).

Training programme on awareness of IPM at BCKV, Kalyani

 

ICAR-National Research Centre for Integrated Pest Management, New Delhi organized an Orientation Course on IPM in important field and horticultural crops with special reference to West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andaman & Nicobar Islands during 16-18 June 2015 at FACC, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Kalyani, in collaboration with Zonal Project Directorate Zone-II and BCKV.
