ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur organized a 3–day National Symposium on “Sustainable citrus production-Way Forward” to commemorate 30 years of its foundation during 27–29 November, 2015 in collaboration with Indian Society of Citriculture (ISC), Nagpur and Technology Mission on Citrus  for Vidarbha, Marathwada and Chhindwara.

ICAR - Agricultural Technology Application Research Institutes, Kolkata and  the Fertilizer Association of India (FAI)- Eastern Region jointly organised a seminar on, “Impact of fertilizer policy on soil health and balanced fertilization’’ on 15th December, 2015 to commemorate World Soil Day and International Year of Soils.

One-day workshop on “Use of automatic weather station to generate weather data for disease and insect pest risk assessment” for AICRP Grape workers was conducted at ICAR National Research Centre for Grapes, Pune on 05-01-2016.

ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal organized 15th Annual Convention of Indian Society of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology (ISVPT) during January 14-16, 2016 on “Nutritional Pharmacology and Toxicology beyond Calories”. The theme of the convention was, “many infectious diseases of livestock could be managed by nutritional intervention”.

Professor Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana inaugurated the convention.

International certificate course on “Requisites of Seed Production, Processing and Quality Assurance” was concluded at ICAR-Directorate of Seed Research, Mau on 20 January 2016.

Dr. J.S. Chauhan, Assistant Director General (Seed), ICAR was chief guest during the valedictory function.  He expressed the hope that the knowledge gained by the participants will be shared with larger number of other stakeholders back in Nigeria.

ICAR-Directorate of Coldwater Fisheries Research, Bhimtal organized 5-day training program for Fishery Officers of Department of Fisheries, Govt. of Mizoram on “Hatchery Management for Fish Seed Production of Golden & Chocolate Mahseer” during 24-28 January 2016 at Aizawl.

ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar organized the 2nd International Symposium on Genomics in Aquaculture (ISGA-II) during 28-30 January, 2016 at Bhubaneswar. The Symposium was organized in association with Association of Aquaculturists, Bhubaneswar and Asian Fisheries Society, Indian Branch, Mangalore.

The first operational workshop of the project “All India Network Project on Fish Health (AINP_FH)” was conducted during 11-12 February, 2016 at ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin.

ICAR- National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bangalore organized the ‘International Symposium on Microbiome in Health and Disease’ during 23-25 February, 2016.
